Are you living the ACID lifestyle? 

Acid or Alkaline?  Where should you be? How do you get there? 

You will find the answers right here!

Your body needs to be at a ph of 7.365 to operate at its full potential. In fact only a slight change in acidity becomes very toxic to the body and can quickly damage cells, organs and deplete calcium and other alkaline minerals in the body.  The loss of calcium is associated with diseases such as osteoporosis.

Your diet should consist of 4 parts alkaline to 1 part acid to maintain the healthy ph balance.

Simply put alkaline equals vibrant energy and health and acid equals disease and cellular death and frankly when your cells die faster than they are replaced this simply mean that you are dying.  The choice is really simple do you want to live or die every time you put something in your mouth?  The great news is you do have a choice! 

The equation is simple, just make sure you eat and drink 4 times as much alkaline foods.

Some examples of alkaline food are:

Spinach, kale, celery, carrots, beets (raw), sprouts, broccoli, live waters, green drinks, coconut, WHEATGRASS, almonds, avocados, lettuce, tofu, parsley, peppers, cherries and most green veggies.  What may really surprise you is that lemons, limes and grapefruit are actually very alkaline when the enter your body!  Hence being the addition of lemon or lime to your water during the day actually increases your alkalinity.

Some examples of Acid foods are: Coffee, red meat, fowl, pork, refined sugar, SODA, milk, cheese, alcoholic beverages, butter, pasta, non sprouted breads, artificial sweetener (aka sweet suicide), vinegar and baked goods.

A simple rule of thumb is raw foods that are green, have a high water content and a low sugar content are generally alkaline and healthy for you.  If it is an animal product including dead flesh, a substance discharged from an animal’s body,  it has been cooked, has a high sugar content, it has added preservatives, colors or hormones, and last but not least if it comes in a can it is probably not going to nourish your body in an alkaline environment. 

Remember the 4:1 ratio.  You can get test strips at your local pharmacy to check your PH level.

Is food the only determining factor in you ph level?  I wish it were that easy!  Other factors such as stress, lack of quality rest and environmental conditions. 

If any of these are a major factor in your life then simply increase your alkaline intake ratio.  If stress is a major factor I strongly suggest that you take steps to reduce that stress as it has been proven time and again to be a major factor in the development of disease( aka dis-ease) in the body!  Stress too much to cope with yourself?  You can get a coach to help you find productive and healthy ways to combat stress.  We have coaching available or find a coach somewhere, the important thing is to combat the stress and process it in a way that serves you. 

Busy lifestyle?  Need a bit of an alkaline short cut?  The answer is wheatgrass!!  Wheatgrass is the young sprout grass of wheat.  At this stage there is no gluten present in the grass.  Wheatgrass is loaded with chlorophyll which is very alkaline. What is really unique about the chlorophyll molecule is that is almost identical to hemoglobin molecule, the only difference being the nucleus of the chlorophyll is magnesium and the nucleus of the hemoglobin being iron.  Chlorophyll in the body serves as a blood cleanser, inhibits bacteria, has powerful healing properties and is even a natural deodorizer!

How to use wheatgrass:

It is best to drink 1 oz 2 or 3 times daily to begin.  Wheatgrass is a powerful cleansing agent in your body and is best to start slow and increase slowly as not to feel ill as you body detox begins.  Optimally you should drink 2 oz 3 times daily after gradually getting to this level.

You can drink wheatgrass by itself or mix it with other live fresh made green or vibrantly colored vegetable juice. It is best to drink it on an empty stomach.
